Kansai University Students Present Their Vision for the Future of the Food Service Industry at ORA Legacy Event!
On Saturday, October 24, a legacy event celebrating the first anniversary of the closing of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, was held at Hug Museum in Osaka. The event commemorated the legacy of the ORA Food Service Pavilion “UTAGE”.
Organized by the Osaka Restaurant Management Association (ORA), the event featured a presentation by a student group that won an Excellence Award in the previous OSIP Extracurricular Multicultural Collaborative Learning Program 2026 - Season 1 (reference: https://osip.jp/en/1298/). The students shared their vision for the future of the food service industry, introducing the concept of “Food Service 3.0.”

Following the presentation, a panel discussion brought together industry professionals and representatives from Kansai University. Prof. Keiko Ikeda and Prof. Tomoki Furukawa joined the panel discussion and exchanged views on the future of the food service industry.

With more than 100 food service industry professionals and members of the media in attendance, the students delivered an outstanding presentation that received highly positive feedback from the audience.
