Kansai University | Joint Class for Faculty of Economics Students and Exchange Students: An Example of Multicultural Collaborative Learning Courses

A joint class was held between Economics Workshop I, taught by an OSIP specially appointed faculty member in the Faculty of Economics, and Business for SDGs, a General Education course in which many exchange students are enrolled.

The class began with an icebreaker activity, Self-Introduction Bingo. It was impressive to see Faculty of Economics students actively approach exchange students and communicate with them. During the group work that followed, students actively exchanged ideas while incorporating perspectives from both groups.

Multicultural Collaborative Learning Courses bring together students from different backgrounds to learn collaboratively. The joint class provided a valuable first opportunity for such learning.
