Kansai University Hosts Student Exchange with California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB)3/5

During the fourth-period class on June 8, 2026, 33 students enrolled in English Skills for Study Abroad participated in a multicultural collaborative learning activity with students from California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB).

As part of the activity, Kansai University students delivered presentations in English on various aspects of Japanese pop culture. While both groups appeared somewhat nervous at the beginning, they gradually became more comfortable with one another and actively engaged in conversation by the end of the class. Their willingness to communicate across cultural and linguistic boundaries left a particularly positive impression.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for students not only to improve their English communication skills but also to deepen their intercultural understanding and develop their ability to engage in meaningful dialogue with people from different backgrounds.
