As part of the Global Campus Trial (OSIP) Program, three Kansai University students participated in a one-month study abroad program at Vietnam Japan University (VJU) in Hanoi, Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the program, students attended lectures on the Vietnamese market and consumer behavior while also taking part in a marketing competition centered on ZinZin, a fruit milk beverage sold by Morinaga Milk Vietnam. Working in mixed teams of Japanese and Vietnamese students, they developed strategies to increase brand awareness and expand sales through market research and consumer analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project involved investigating Vietnam's dairy market and competing products using marketing frameworks such as the 3C Analysis, STP Analysis, and 4P Analysis. Students also conducted fieldwork at supermarkets and shopping malls in Hanoi and gathered data through both online and face-to-face surveys. Based on their findings, they proposed concrete improvements related to product packaging, promotional activities, and other marketing initiatives. At the conclusion of the program, each team delivered an English-language presentation to showcase its strategy and recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside the classroom, students deepened their understanding of Vietnamese culture and daily life through interactions with local students. Sharing meals, visiting caf\u00e9s, and exploring Hanoi together allowed them to experience aspects of everyday life that cannot be learned through tourism alone. Observing local lifestyles and consumer behavior also provided valuable opportunities to reflect on cultural differences between Vietnam and Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants commented that the experience enabled them to apply marketing theories in a practical setting, gain new perspectives through collaboration with Vietnamese students, and appreciate both the challenges and rewards of communicating across cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this program, students not only developed a deeper understanding of the Vietnamese market but also strengthened their ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and approach problems from a global perspective. It is hoped that the international outlook and practical skills cultivated through this experience will contribute to their future academic pursuits and professional careers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
