プログラムを通じて、どのような変化や成果がありましたか？

  Through my experience as an international exchange buddy, one thing I came to feel strongly is that a buddy is not a ""friend"" but a ""teammate."" I wanted to be someone who supports participants in having a more comfortable and fulfilling experience in Japan, and I always tried to engage with them with kindness and honesty.
  During mock interview practice in particular, there were times when I was tempted to only share the positives, because I could see how hard each participant was working. However, in an actual interview, they would be facing someone who is meeting them for the very first time. Keeping that perspective in mind, I made a conscious effort to communicate not only their strengths but also areas for improvement.
  This experience gave me a chance to reflect on what ""true kindness"" really means, kindness that genuinely respects the other person. I also feel that I gained foundational communication skills, such as breaking down complex language into simpler terms when speaking with people whose first language is not Japanese.

プログラムでの学びを、今後どのように生かしたいと考えていますか？

  I came to realize that acquiring Japanese language skills is a significant hurdle for those from overseas who are aiming to work in Japan. I felt that not only for job hunting, but also for continuing to work in Japan, having access to an environment where practical, everyday Japanese can be learned is equally important.
  Through this experience, I became aware that there are many social issues that cannot be noticed unless you actively engage with them yourself. Going forward, I would like to continue valuing firsthand experience, making a conscious effort to imagine the other person's perspective, engage with honesty, and communicate in clear and accessible language, applying these lessons whenever I interact with others, regardless of nationality.
