From a flamenco class in Madrid to an 18-day academic program in Valencia — this is one of the most immersive GCT experiences available.
Based at CEU Cardinal Herrera University, students engage in lectures and discussions on aging society challenges in both Japan and Spain, a workshop at EDEM Business School, and fieldwork through Valencia's historic districts. Throughout the program, student-led exchange events take center stage: a "Cultural Day" introducing calligraphy, tea ceremony, hanafuda, and ayatori; a joint cooking session pitting paella against sushi; and participation in Las Fallas, Valencia's legendary fire festival.
The program closes with a joint presentation and graduation ceremony alongside local students. The Spanish students who came all the way to the airport to say goodbye said everything about the bonds built over 18 days.
