プログラムを通じて、どのような変化や成果がありましたか？

  Not worrying too much about one's own words and actions, and instead embracing a spirit of challenge, leads to a truly enriching learning experience. Through the program, I was able to deepen my understanding of both theory and practice, learning and sharing theoretical concepts and issues in groups of four or five or as a whole class, and then verifying them firsthand through fieldwork using my own body and senses.
  For example, coral reefs are protected not only because they serve as hiding places for fish, but also so that people like us can enjoy seeing them. This can be understood as conservation driven by both an ecological perspective and a business perspective centered on tourism. Learning the background in the classroom, hearing from local people about why coral reefs are protected, and then snorkeling to see the beautiful coral and fish with my own eyes was not only a deeper understanding but also an invaluable experience.

プログラムでの学びを、今後どのように生かしたいと考えていますか？

  I came to feel that the most important thing is not to worry too much about what you say, but to try to communicate using whatever words or gestures come to mind. Rather than taking a passive stance toward achieving the goals set in class, I want to actively share my own thoughts, listen carefully to others' opinions, and engage in lively discussion. By going to the field as much as possible and experiencing things firsthand, I hope to develop a deeper understanding of the theories learned in class.

  This program offers a supportive environment where participants can take part with confidence, thanks to learning support provided before and after the program as well as the backing of everyone involved. It is a program that fosters irreplaceable connections and encourages personal growth.
